We hiked down to the water and we are actually standing in the Rio Grande. Behind us is a big canyon that the water is slowly flowing through. I have never seen so many dried up creeks, streams, and this is not just in BB. It has been like that through Texas and is quite sad. They need water, not sure what cities are getting all the rain in Texas but it isn’t where we have been or where we are. Still driving through this big ass state. Stopped last night from BB in a town called Uvalde. Nothing to get excited about. We have been through 3 inspection stations, seen Mexicans on the side of the roads being detained by border patrol. I kind of feel sorry for them, walking through long desert fields only to be taken when they reach a road. They all look hot, thirsty, and tired. Not to mention the high volume of state troopers on the roads. We still had a grand time in BB. S & J
