This tree sits in front of the court house on Whitehead. It was the sacred tree of the Mayans. Also called the Ceilba Tree. It is the coolest looking tree. They believed that the souls of the dead climbed a mythical kapok whose branches moved into heaven. You can look up the tree and get all the history of it. Quite interesting and really cool to see in person. S & J
