This was pretty cool. We stopped in Roan Mountain at a Hostel/Pub so James could try the beer. This group of folk were sitting in the back having a picking session and taking turns with songs. The lady is playing mandolin. The rest strumming on guitars. This hostel was not busy. It houses AT hikers when they come off the trail at this point. I did the hike here back in 14, we did a 10 mile in , camped and hiked out next day. You get to the top of those mountains and I will never forget the beauty of the wild flower fields, an enchanted forest, and the funny thing is you think you are at the top but you are not. It was a great day in the mountains. Happy Fourth!!! S & J
