4-Decker Farm

We come to a final last day at 4=Decker Farm in Hop Bottom, Pa. We were told by our friend Megan that we needed to stop here and see her friends Chris and Frank! James and I thought what the heck we are going north so let’s go see this town, meet her friends , and see what kind of trouble we can get into. We pull into town On Sunday June 7, and here we still are!! What a wonderful, kind, and generous family we came upon. The town is small, quaint, and beautiful. Her parents live on same property, her brother down the street and Chris grew up here as did her folks. Chris and I have taken long walks each day with her dogs and Frank took James golfing one day, her Dad took him fishing yesterday with one of her friends who is a retired Highway Patrol Officer. He and his wife have been over several times this week and visited. Such a hoot they are. She does the Edith Bunker song to a TEE! I laughed so hard. We have enjoyed long summer days in her yard and at night we grill out and play games. I am taking just a bit of there money with me!! I hope we meet more people along our travels as kind and fun as the Deckers and Schutz’s!! To our new Hop Bottom friends, if you are reading this please know how much we enjoyed your amazing and energetic hospitality!! What a wonderful time and Thank you! And many thanks to Megan for introducing us!!

We head back on the road Sunday (14) and we are stopping in Mystic Ct. for 4 days and checking out the coastal area of Ct, and beyond, then we will breeze through NH on the way to Maine. We may or may not have internet so if you do not see a post for several days please know we are most likely ok, just off the grid!!

Everyone continue to stay safe and healthy, and even though we are ready for all this crazy to be over, still be cautious, it will make it’s way around again.
