This was truly a spooky sight. We had left Leavenworth on the 9th and drove to Bend Oregon, stayed three nights and on Monday drove to Idaho with a stop along the way. We were on a mission for Utah and we drove all day Tuesday and decided to pull over and park as these clouds and rain were coming through. You could literally see the rain in the distance around all the mountains. We parked in a lot between a shell and super 8. Had rain most of the night a few cracks of thunder and of course your typical sound of truckers as they idle the rigs. We got back on the road Wednesday morning with a destination of Kanab Utah. We drove another 6 hours and we arrived safe and sound. What a cool town. Our ultimate destination is Yuma by Monday and we are enjoying the stops along the way. We stayed one night in Kanab and drove to Williams Az. Here one night and today we go to Cottonwood/Sedona and stay until Monday and do a day drive into Yuma. Williams is a quaint western town on the cusp of the Grand Canyon. You forget how amazing the rocks and mountains are in Az. Such beauty!!! Now we went through Page, was there in 2017 and man has it changed. We actually drove over the Colorado River in that area and that water is extremely low, not sure how those big rafts get down. Oh well happy paddling!!! Have a great weekend!! S & J
