This is our winter home in Yuma. Of course it is orange now and looks way better!! We arrived on Monday and got the camper unloaded and parked in storage until we take off next time.I could not believe how much crap we had in the camper, but then again we were in it for 6 months. We had a wonderful travel season. We had left April 4 and this is what we did. Went to NM, Tx, La, Miss,Al, Fla, Ga, SC, NC, Tenn, Ark, Mo, Ks, Neb, Co, Wy, Ut, Id, Mt, Wa, Ore, Id, Ut, Az,. We drove 16k miles and spent 5k on fuel. We had a month each with Corey and Carson. We saw old friends and family, met new friends, and saw so much. Went to 5 MLB games and several NP. I would have to say the trip through Colorado was my favorite this time. So many towns are just dead and isolated. The covid pandemic put a serious hurting on many places. We really liked Miss. too. They still have not recovered from Katrina. Never will I suppose. Took a train from Leavenworth to Seattle. That was a beautiful ride. Some friends from Canada drove to Wa. to camp with us our last week there. Some of our other Yuma friends that live in that area came over for dinner one night so that was great. They will most likely start arriving end of Oct. We are having our porch screened in and painting the inside of our unit this fall. So we have our work cut out for us. Can’t wait to make a pizza. Our friends from Canada brought us couple bags of flour from Canada. Anyone from Canada will tell you they can tell the difference in the flour from here and from Canada, so we can’t wait to try it. Should be interesting. Also since we left NC in 2020 we have sent out 1042 post cards. I will stop for now sending those out. In same place for 6 + months so no need. Anyway I will post on the blog but not as frequent. I hope each of you have a wonderful and safe fall and winter. We will fly to NC in March for Corey’s wedding. We will also stay on the west coast next summer and explore more areas of these beautiful western states and may creep into Canada. If I can say anything amazing to anyone reading, take a trip, a drive, explore. We have so much beauty in the U.S. Each state is so different and each mountain, and bed of water. Take it all in. Hugs….Be kind!!! Be mindful!! S & J
