Driving to Stowe via a different route we came across 2 silo’s. This is painted with a boy holding a bird and the other is painted with horses, eagle, and a cowboy. They were so cool and both right at the round a bout we were on. You see tons of silo’s while traveling but we have not seen any painted. Quite the site. Each state has there own style of barns too! We have seen 3 story chicken houses. Came across a dairy barn that actually had their own ice cream store , all ice cream made from their milk. Interesting journey.
I also want to correct my story with Stowe ski slope. The picture shows the slope in the summer (beautiful green grass) where as in the winter it is a ski mountain, and I stated it all wrong. Also the notch hwy. was smugglers notch, not snugglers . I re-read my stuff sometimes 3 times before clicking publish and there you have it.
All of you have a safe and happy 4th!
Stay safe and healthy!!

I’ve never seen painted silos. How cool. BTW, there is an ice cream store on a dairy farm on the way to Bethany. Yum, always a fun stop.
It sure looks like you are seeing some incredible scenery. Keep staying safe. Love your stories. ❤️
Those painted silos are so cool! Glad you are having such a wonderful adventure.
…My ice cream story from Vermont…when traveling to Quebec with my folks and cousin Perry one summer, we stopped at a local creamery. Perry ordered a “black cherry ice cream cone” in her heavy, SC, southern accent. The young clerk couldn’t understand what she was asking for, called another clerk and then the manager. Finally, they figured it out (with a bit of translation from me) and with a laugh and a smile gave both of us to free ice cream cones! So the moral is, take advantage of that southern accent!
Have fun you two! ❤️❤️❤️
It has been great catching up on your travels, although it has taken me a while learning how to navigate the blog. I had missed some of the earlier posts. I am envious, but so glad you all threw caution to the wind and took off. YOLO!!
Hot as hell here. Went to Jeff’s Dad’s funeral yesterday, fortunately mostly in the shade. They have been through so much in such a short time.
Hope you have found a cool spot to celebrate the 4th Keep it in the road and shoot low. Love
Hey Sue. I am so glad you went North instead of West. The weather has been in your favor that way. You guys are in Vermont at the PERFECT time!!! Great job driving, James! Love to you both!
