Yet another course James played!! We stayed here on the 12th over night after driving to and seeing Niagara Falls. It was so hot. The course was awesome and James enjoyed playing it. My clubs are still in the bag for a bit.
We had our longest drive yesterday the 13th. It also marked our two months we have been on the road. WOW!! We had flatter roads, better roads, so the conditions were a bit easier for James but we are also on a mission. We are headed into South Bend Indiana today to the freightliner place. They are going to work on the front end and hopefully fix all the play that is in the steering. Not sure how long they will have it or what it will take to fix it, I do know that if it is fixed Susan here will be driving too. So far I have not been comfortable with the steering. I thank James everyday we arrive someplace because I see how it works him.
We got to the other side of Toledo Ohio from NY State in 7 hours, 378 miles. Our record!! We were going to stay in the parking lot at a Walmart, we went inside to grab a few things,(first time in a Walmart since Maine) and decided NO, we shall keep on driving. I mean who has Toledo Ohio on there bucket list. haha
Good thing………we drove another 40 miles and stopped at the Travel Center on the Ohio Turnpike and these things are RV friendly. We have our own parking lot and even have power. Best thing since sliced bread!! I think NC should get places like this. You don’t have to get off an exit, you just drive into them from the Highway., Gas, Diesel, 40 choices of food items , shower for truckers, and you get the picture!! We have like 7 neighbors in this lot, hope we all don’t try to leave at the same time, only one dump station. So we shall continue our day driving to South Bend. Will keep you posted on repairs and hopefully not be stuck here too long. Hotel here we come, well maybe. The guy at freightliner said usually people can stay in the rv at night and they have power station. Keep fingers crossed and prices down. Anybody know of cool stuff to do in South Bend, give us a call!!
Have a great day!!

So sorry to hear of steering problems. Glad James is able to keep it in the road.
Only thing I know about South Bend is the proximity of Notre Dame University–which, as you know is part of the ACC (although I’ll be dast if I know what part of South Bend is on the Atlantic Coast).
Hope Freightliner has seen the problem before and has a quick and reasonably priced fix. Thinking about you both and hope you are back on the road soon! Stay safe
Keep on Trucking…or RVing!
Dan is from Bowling Green Ohio just south of Toledo! Lol I will never move to Ohio! He said John Denver spent a week in Ohio in one day! Be safe…love your posts!
So sorry about the necessary repairs but glad you found a place to do it.
Cool beans about the RV parking place that you are in.
I know you want to do some of that driving since I am sure that it must put wear on James’ golf games, hehe. I love your posts, keep them coming. So interesting. I am sure Im not the only one who feels like I am moving along with you.
I am off to Bethany tomorrow and looking forward to it.
Stay safe!
