Aladdin

We drive to this town called Aladdin. Population 15!!! This is THE store in town,130 years old and they had some amazing items inside this baby! A wooden 6 door refrigerator. An old phone board that an operator would sit at and chime into the persons house to let them know you had a call. The floors were awesome, had a bar inside and the guy behind it owns the place. He said he bought it a year ago. It was just so damn cool, reminded me of a country store my Aunt use to take us to in West Virginia. The wooden floors, ceilings, front door, everything about it. Locals were in the bar and bikers traveling through, Sturgis rally starts August 7. Just a great day. It’s the little things!! So if you are ever in Sundance Wyoming, Aladdin is not too far and well worth the scenic drive. You will definitely get a cold beverage!!

Stay safe!

  2. Love the General Store! Have been in a couple in Virginia and Pa. like this one.
Very cool. Looks like 3 or 4 of the residents were on the front porch. I bet you chatted with them all.

I sure hope that you get your Winter wish, Susan. I’m wishing you both more happy trails.

  3. The little general store sounds so cool! New Hampshire is on our bucket list, along with Maine, Cape Cod and Martha’s Vinyard. Where are you headed next? I’m so glad you are enjoying your adventures! Miss y’all!
