The island was fun. No cars aloud. Walk, bike, or horses. We took our electric bikes, however we had to un do our throttle. No big deal you can still get by just fine pedal only, just put the gear in 4 and you scoot along just fine. We rode around the island twice, 8 miles each time. It is a lovely paved trail and very covered with all walks of life going both directions. You only had to dodge horse piles!!! It was a beautiful day, great things to see. We rode upon the airport, golf course, beautiful old homes, governor’s summer home. Saw a couple of forts from the war days. Good history day. The town itself reminded us of Charleston, and Savanah. Just NO cars , They were taking garbage via horse and buggy. It is a fun place to visit and explore. We had talked about staying one night but we decided not to donate that much money to Michigan!!!
