This bar in downtown Ashland has quite the story. So the actual bar counter (bar) was made from ONE 24 foot mahogany tree. Built back in 1895 it’s original home was in Washington State. They transported it from Washington to Ashland Oregon. I took a picture of all the information and I can’t enlarge it enough to read it clearly. Sorry!! Anyway the wood itself and the back of the bar is something really to see. This is our fourth one on our journeys that we have seen. I like the fact that some people and cities can actually hold on to historical items and leave them the hell alone.
That’s my story and I am sticking to it!!
Be groovy…..

That’s a beautiful bar!
This bar and bar back is amazing and so beautiful.
You would love traveling in Europe to see all that is preserved over hundreds of years.
Someday you will see those sites too.
I would love to be doing this same trip, maybe one day.
I love the way you are enjoying the history of out beautiful country.
How is your weather now?
