This is the slat flat you can walk out on. The name bad water comes from a man that tried to get his horse to drink the water and they would not. Therefore he said bad water and the nam stuck.
Death Valley is over 3 million acres of federally designated Wilderness. It is an incredible place and we did not even see it all. It is the hottest and driest and lowest place on Earth. A must see for any outdoors enthusiast. But not in the summer.LOL
