This visitor center in Olympic NP burned completely down last year. It is at the end of Hurricane Ridge Rd. which is a touristy road to take and see the mountains and take a few hikes. To this day they still do not know what caused the fire. Now they have a limit of 300 cars to go in each day because of the bathroom situation. They have porta pots along the way and limited parking for the trails. We couldn’t go the first day we went so we got up at 5 on Sunday and drove over so we can take this ride. So glad we did, amazing beauty and one side you can see Canada and the other end you can see the furthest point in USA, Cape Flattery, Washington. The fog sets down on the sound in Washington , still had some snow cap mountains, and so on. The smell is of a huge Christmas tree farm. Washington has some beautiful evergreen hills. Our temperatures have been ideal, no AC, nice breezes, it is quite lovely. S/J
