Cog Railway

This was our two car train we rode to the top of Pikes Peak. COG Railway means a steep mountain railroad that has a rail with cogs engaged by a cogwheel on the train to ensure traction. The middle of this track is the cogs, looks like teeth that will grab for traction. It will stop in a matter of 3 seconds if need be. Before these cars arrived, looking at it, to the left was a beautiful small black bear just roaming around. I did get a picture but is so small you can’t see it. The workers just shoo’d him away. The building behind the train is where the bear cam out of. S/J
