Leaving Vegas last week from doctors appointments we decided to check out Hoover again. Could not believe how low the water was and coming over the hill and seeing Lake Mead, wow! Was not even a trickle going over the dam. Glad we went by it, doing lots of construction in and out of the dam so the traffic flow was smoother. We enjoyed the detour, taking 95 back to Yuma is the worse drive ever and we do it agin on the 29th when we leave Yuma. Two lanes most of the way, road to Needles is crazy 2 lane and like a roller coaster. Not many passing areas if you want to stay alive. I do love all these mountains though around Nevada. I think Arizona must be taking all the water!!
We finally get to the stretch of 95 from Parker to Yuma, this goes through Quartzite. So we have delays with road construction on this 2 lane stretch. Then I am driving along and I hear this ding….DING. rock got the windshield of the car, we were in the car not the RV. So when we get to Bend we will have that fixed. It got it good. I had a car and 1/2 distance between the truck in front of us but no, I guess that wasn’t enough!!! No one hurt, you can always get a new piece of glass. Stay safe and healthy!!!! Hugs…..S & J
