Hello all!! Thank you for the well and safe wishes. The last few days have been a bit stressful. We are out of Oregon as sad as it makes me but we are safe and breathing fresh air. We left Carson as you know on Thursday. Stayed in hotel in Eugene Oregon. We left on Friday morning and headed east on 20 to get over past Bend. That was a very smokey highway and as we were driving it felt like we were just driving right into flames. Very eerie feeling. We drove until about 5 pm and pulled over in a rest area and boondocked. It was good and nice air but when we got up today it was smokey. We took off and now we are in Shoshone Idaho!! Never been, have now and we will see what we can get into. Heading to Utah from here, gonna re-do Zion, Moab, and Bryce Canyon. We will do Zion last cause that is the closest to where we have to be Oct. 1 in Mesquite Nevada.
Carson escaped today from Medford. He drove to Bend. His van stopped in the middle of his ride on 58. He made it to Bend but will have to do some work on his van before he heads back.
We are all safe and thank you again for the well wishes. Just of the story, don’t visit Oregon , Cali, Wash. in the fall!!
Lesson learned. My only sadness is we had another 10 days with Carson and it got cut short. We will see him soon .

It is a relief to hear that you are out of harm’s way. That series of events was scary. I hope you can stay in touch with Carson often enough not to worry TOO much. Relief hugs all around.
