We had a wonderful travel day from South Dakota to North. Long straight, flat highways with beautiful farm land and farms. Actually got excited when we saw all the green grass. What a fabulous sight and when we passed a lawn mower that was even better, the sweet smell of fresh cut grass!!! The difference I noticed from S to N was North has more trees on the farms.
We got to our Park and the bottom half which you see is flooded. We are in the top part of the park at no danger yet…..we leave today for another park until Monday. The river runs through N.D. and Minnesota. When you cross the river you are in Minnesota. We actually played golf Wednesday in Minnesota. They have had some devastating floods on the red river. (google history of red river). Quite a lot of history here. We went on a bike ride yesterday and came upon a couple on this trail and we actually knew them. They are in our Yuma park in the winter and Mike plays mens golf league and Tammy plays with me on the ladies. They live in Morehead Minnesota which is just across the river. It was kind of cool to see someone you know in North Dakota!! Anyway great ride then we stopped at a store and when we were walking out the door the sky fell out, so we went back in to wait a bit. Had a small window so we took back off but didn’t quite make it back to camp without more rain. It’s all good, had a good time. Kind of felt like a kid again playing in the rain. Have a great day. Hugs!!! S/J
