James and I finally found this golf course on our last day. We went in and introduced ourselves to the club pro (Bob) and struck up a conversation. We sat at the bar and had a beer and then said what the hell let’s go play nine. So we did and this was the view from number 12 I think. We started on the back nine. It was plush and a very well kept course. They had a few houses on the course and some rows of Condo’s and a campground with 10 sites. Did not know this, zero signage in the entrance or on the road. Another story. Before we started to play, our conversation with Bob was learning things about him and the area itself. He goes to different courses and gets them in prime condition etc. Said they have a hard time keeping help, not to mention what the Covid did, and all persons are happier staying at home collecting unemployment. They make more! So each time I swung a club (I shot a 45) my mind was thinking, what can I do??
When we were coming up on 18 he was teeing off of ten. We drove the cart over and I said to him, loved the course etc. you know the small talk and thanked him and then I said, are you here next year? Bob said most likely. I said ok, I will work for you the summer for 30 hours a week (James and I ) for free full hook up to the camper, unlimited golf, and no pay. He looked at me and said sounds like a plan, leave your information with Nick!! Don’t know if this will pan out but it would be way cool if it does. I told him I would work pro shop, kitchen, camping area….did not matter. So we will see what happens with this. May-August We had a great 5 days in Glacier. I totally loved the time while in the park. A great National Park.
Have a great day!
