This was way cool, we kept driving past these farms and not knowing what they were we finally found out. Stopped at a produce stand outside of Veneta (RV repair) and got some home grown tomatoes!! First ones this summer and they were/are wonderful. Anyway we asked the lady at the stand and she said they were filberts/hazelnuts. They had a huge bin full of them for sale , 2 bucks a pound. We did not purchase them but it was kind of cool to see the tree farms. So on our adventures here in Oregon we have seen, wine vines, apple orchards, cherry orchards, peach, pear, and now hazelnuts. This picture is just a small fragment of it.
We went to a small town yesterday called Sisters. Very cool quaint small town. Today we went to Bend. My favorite. We road bikes around and walked around, going back tomorrow to go down the Deschutes River. Will post some of those pics hopefully tomorrow. We are golfing at 5 today around the corner from our camp site.
Be groovy!
