This reminded me of College days in Banner Elk. They called it campus in the clouds. It was so pretty to see you can tell they have had some snow this year. Elevation was over 10k feet. Not too much was open in Silverton but still worth the trip for someone that has never seen the old mining town. Still have dirt roads!! Friends leave today and James and I have 4 more sleeps here. So much to explore!! S/J
