This small cutie was built in the 1890’s. It too is on the Swaner Preserve. At one time the entire farm was lost in a poker game by Andrew Young. His sister was married to a millionaire and when he died she inherited his wealth and saved the family farm.
All these buildings on this land are still standing and actually look pretty good for the age. Kimble was a big landowner here therefore this was his place and the junction here at 224/80 coming into Park City is called Kimble Junction. The entire preserve and echo facility are part of Utah State University. Fun to ride bikes around and see what they have done to preserve this land.
We are back on the road today heading toward lower part of Utah, since we will be checking in at Mesquite on the 1st. Will hit some parks and NF as well. Revisit some places we went in 2016. Can’t wait to see Zion again.
Have a great day!
