Today is May 1 !!! We have been living in our RV one year today!! WooHoo!! This picture of Lake McDonald is in Glacier NP and that is where we are heading Monday for the summer. We left Oregon yesterday and drove to Leavenworth Washington to help Carson move. He has a super cool apt. walking distance to town and Taylor will be here soon. Leavenworth is a quaint Bavarian town and so full of life and energy. Beautiful mountains surrounding him . So we will enjoy our last couple of days with Carson before we head to Glacier.
In this first year I will give you a bit of a recap. We have been to 26 states, countless cities, National Parks, State Parks, many waterfalls, have stayed in so many wonderful campgrounds and truck stops, rest areas, golf courses, wineries, and of course BLM land. And while on the BLM land I shall take a pause and express to anyone reading to watch the movie Nomadland!!!! It won best picture, best actress, and best director for the Oscars. It is slow. but a very well written movie and James and I had been to most of the places that are in the movie. The campground they were working in at Badlands NP is the exact same place we stayed a few nights, drove through Quartzite countless times and wondered around Wall Drug. The people we have met in all the places we have been have been fabulous. We are loving the RV life and certainly enjoying the travel. I have mailed out over 500 postcards and taken over 1600 pictures. I am grateful that we are able to do this and more grateful that James and I are still a team. !!! Close quarters and 24/7 with someone is tight but is so wonderful at the end of the day!!
We have missed our friends/family. We will do a trip East next Spring after our winter in Yuma. We did purchase a Park Model (tiny house) in Yuma and will reside at Del Pueblo during the winter months and the other 6 months we will travel. Yuma will be our winter place from now on. I will continue to play in the kitchen and James will play golf, shoot pool and have fun. It has been a great 2020 and beginning of 2021. Not sure how much or if any contact we will have available inside of Glacier but will do my best to keep posting and blogging. I wish all of you a wonderful and healthy summer. What a wonderful trek you’ve had! It’s refreshing to hear someone talk about the past year in such a positive way. I know you’ll have lots more wonderful memories in this next year. Can’t wait to see you in August!!! Love you! ❤️💕❤️
