Coming over the hill on the highway on our way to Yuma we approach Lake Mead. This is the Lake Mead Recreation area. It is a man made lake that lies on the Colorado River. It is 24 miles southeast of the Vegas strip in the states of Nevada and Arizona. It is the largest reservoir in terms of water capacity. After the curve here we go over the Tillman/O’Callaghan Memorial Bridge. This bridge goes over the Hoover Dam. In 2016 James and I walked across this bridge when we did our two week trek to the 8 National Parks we went to.
The water is such a bright vivid color and quite a sight. I could not see over the rail in the RV to get a shot of the dam. I guess if you haven’t seen it before you need to take a trip out.
Have a great day….We stopped in Wickenburg for the night to play golf today so we stayed in the parking lot. We will most likely finish our ride to Yuma on Monday..

Truly a huge lake and dam. Did you tour the dam?
