This island is exactly as you see. This is called Wizard Island and it erupted after the lake begun to fill. They do some kind of boat tours in the summer which would be cool to do. I visited this park June 22, 2019 with Carson when I came to Oregon and it was part of our 5 day road trip!! Worth it above and beyond!!
