Leaving Oregon

This is a picture I took from the seat in RV heading north on I-5 to get out of harms way….The smoke was so thick at the farm we decided along with advice from Carson to get going anywhere but Oregon. I think the entire state is on fire. The more north we drove it seemed the worse it got, All roads south to get to California were closed. So we headed north and trying to go east but having hard time finding those roads open. We stopped in Eugene Oregon to stay at a hotel. Hopefully we can get east of Bend and closer to another state. Not sure how far we will get, need to go more north before we try going east. Not ideal but you do what you gotta do. We will stay safe and will be careful. Carson ended up having to evacuate late yesterday. A few more fires broke out by the farm. He went to Grants Pass but said it was just as bad and we had just driven thru that town and it was bad. Hopefully he will keep driving, no one can get to the farm to work. 14 of the employees there lost their homes on Wednesday. Very sad and just driving on the interstate you see all the charred ground that was a pile of smoke the day before. Not sure what is starting these fires. So extremely dry.

Will keep post going as long as I can get on. We do have our cell phone and I can text or talk on that.
