We went into Lewis and Clark NHP on Sunday to check it out. Really cool park, tons of trails and they did a great job on the replica of the fort.
However we did one of the trails and yet another enchanted forest we hiked through. It was just wonderful and the trees were hugs. This one James is in front of is a Sitka Spruce. They get up to 400 feet tall. Unreal, , felt like we were in the redwood forest. They grow to immense size and very common to get to 27 feet in the girth and in some cases even 36 feet. Next will be the fort.

Amazing!
Dang! That’s a big tree. I bet James is glad he doesn’t have to cut it down for firewood.
Not sure Paul Bunyon could cut that down.
