You can see the stadium behind the dome and below is the Mississippi River. Very murky, muddy, which ever you want to call it. It was funny as you got a little closer to the campus the traffic picked up then you were out of it. We had our first day on Bourbon St. yesterday. I have not done any pictures yet. We took a bus into town, well that was after we did a mock run to check it out and realized we have zero place to park. LOL So we went back to our camping area and parked the truck at a city golf course to grab the city bus. Well that was an experience. 6 mile ride that took one hour. The driver did not like his job. It was an adventure, he let us off at Canal St. (closest) to French Quarter so we walked around in and out of places for about 3 hours. It was an even bigger adventure. And driving over all these bridges in N.O., I have never seen so much roofs with blue tarps and these are stemmed from Ida, last year. Our uber driver (choice of return trip) gave us that tidbit. Insurance is the hold up but it made me think people just don’t care if they have roof fixed or not. Quite sad and even more of an impoverished island than what you see on TV. Have a great day!!
