Taking the ferry over to Dauphin Island you see all these oil rigs. I counted 21 out in the waters just in the area we were crossing. Never saw any persons on these rigs so we really do not know if they are active. It seems to me if they are using them , they should take apart and leave NO trace. Kind of like you see or hear when taking a trail up the mountain, leave no trace!! Pack out what you pack in. Anyway this gives you an idea of what is in our gulf!! S & J
