This picture was taken last night on top of the hill overlooking Astoria. The bridge goes over the Columbia River and the other side is Washington State. Now if you look far left of the bridge that is where the Pacific Ocean flows in. Today Friday the 14, Salmon season opens here. Suppose to be the biggest rally of the all. Now for Saturday and Sunday you can fish for Salmon without a fishing license so James is going both days to catch some Salmon. I certainly hope he can bring home some dinner!!!
We will head down to the water front in a bit and check things out. They had boaters lined up last night and the small box seafood trucks lined up in the parking lots. We were just looking for a spot to put his kayak in the water. Suppose to have nice weather the weekend and he will get all his gear in order today. Should be fun. Will keep you posted and we might just have a large picture on here of a huge Salmon!!
Stay safe and thanks for all the comments!
Keep checking!
Hugs and gratitude to all!!

I have friend that posted a picture of this bridge on her blog today. Funny that I know 3 people looking at the same view.
Looking forward to hearing if James caught a big one. Beautiful area! Love seeing the bridge in the background.
I drove over that bridge when I visited my nephew in Oregon…. so beautiful
