This is the remains of an old sugar cane plantation in the state park we went to on Saturday to ride bikes. It was pretty cool to see and not expecting this much of it left to see. S & J

This bridge goes over Lake Pontchartrain. Pronounced….paan-chuh-trayn. It can be a tongue twister. The lake is a shallow extension of the gulf of Mexico in SE Louisiana, N of New Orleans. The bridge is the longest over water in the U.S. It spans 27. miles and the first one was Continue Reading
