This is the driving/walking Tillman bridge that goes over Hoover Dam. We have walked and driven over this. The walking is really cool, stomach kind of stays at your feet. Then we drove over it back in 2016 when we went to all the National Parks and then in November Continue Reading
No Trickle Over the Dam
Such an amazing place to see. We drove over the dam and James jumped out to get a few pictures. As you can see not a bit of water going over the dam. I could not believe how low the water was from the last time we had been to Continue Reading
Detour to Hoover Dam
Leaving Vegas last week from doctors appointments we decided to check out Hoover again. Could not believe how low the water was and coming over the hill and seeing Lake Mead, wow! Was not even a trickle going over the dam. Glad we went by it, doing lots of construction Continue Reading
Another Joshua Tree
You honestly can’t see all the trees in this desert, however they are in abundance. It is quite a sight. It was nice to go to this NP and it was way different then what I was expecting. On the way to this stop we did a detour over to Continue Reading
Snow Cap

Skull Rock

Teddy Bear Cholla Cactus
This plant is prominent on the eastern half of the park which is below 3000 feet above sea level, lies within the Colorado Desert. It is also populated with the spidery ocotillo. This is a really cool cactus and they present a beautiful red flower at the top of the Continue Reading
Joshua Tree NP
We took a day trip over to Joshua Tree National Park on Sunday. A beautiful drive and a really nice park. This is what a Joshua Tree looks like. In the 1930’s Minerva Hoyt persuaded President Franklin Roosevelt to proclaim Joshua Tree National Monument. In 1994 as part of the Continue Reading

On Sunday James and I drove to Gila Bend to meet Sherrie from Charlotte. She flew her Dad to Scottsdale and this little town was a half way point for us both. We met here and had a wonderful visit and a picnic. This park was awarded this steel beam Continue Reading
