Morning….Hope everyone had a great Holiday weekend!! Sunday we took a bike ride along the canal. We are surrounded by hundreds of miles of these canal dirt roads. This is how they flood the fields and orchards. Big trees on the top right are lemon and the short kind of Continue Reading
Dunes
More dunes along the highway. Apparently you have to have special tires on your side by side to get through these dunes. It would be good fun to do, however I would imagine the amount of sand you would gather would be in the pounds!! We had a really nice Continue Reading
California Dunes
Heading 8 west into California we came across a very large area of sand dunes. It was a very interesting view and we were struck by the amount of people in side by sides, four wheelers and the large number of RV motorhomes and fifth wheels were pulled out on Continue Reading

Limes
These are Mexicali limes. The kind man gave them to us. Limes are yellow, the reason you get green limes in the U.S. is because of all the gasses they put on them. I had no idea that limes were really yellow. This too was very good and sweet and Continue Reading
Fresh Grapefruit
This is the beautiful grapefruit we picked, juiced and ate. Made a salty dog without the salt, think they call that a greyhound!!!Regardless it was so yummy. He told us to pick yellow ones. If they have green on them they are not quite ready. We got some also that Continue Reading
Grapefruit Picking
We found a pick your own grapefruit about 5 miles from our resort. So you know we had to go explore and get a few. We had enough picks down low so we really did not need the picker but James did use it one time. I used it once Continue Reading
