We had the pleasure of staying on a friends brothers property in Roan Mountain Tenn. and this was our visitor!!! It is a lovely shelter on a small hill with a wonderful view and many beautiful trees around. The owners have a cabin across the street up on a hill. They were so kind to share the beauty of the land. We enjoyed regrouping from a. month in Charlotte/Concord. We drove to Elizabethton and rode bikes on the Tweetsie Trail. Use to be a railroad and is now a bike path. The other direction would take you into Johnson City Tenn. It was a great ride and we had great weather. Anyway left Roan on the 3rd and drove to Hot Springs NC. Great little town outside of Asheville, and a BIG stopping point for (AT) Appalachian Trail Hikers. Cool town, few watering holes and the campground sits nestled on the French Broad River. Hope each of you have or had a Happy Fourth!! S & J
