Snake River, Idaho

As we drove over this bridge it was like WOW. You see the canyon, golf course, water falls and tons of kayakers. This is the snake river canyon in Twin Falls Idaho.

We took a drive down and did some quick walks to some water falls, checked out the golf course. People actually BASE jump off this bridge. Our waiter told us that a lady had jumped off years ago but the winds took her back up and she hung on the bridge until she could get rescued. Crazy!!

The snake river (I have only seen in Wyoming) is 1078 miles long through the greater Pacific NW. It rises in West Wyoming, flows through southern Idaho, through the rugged hells canyon on the Oregon/Idaho border through the Palouse Hills of Washington. When I was in Wyoming a few years back I stopped at one of the historical sights where Ansel Adams captured the beauty of this in 1941. The picture I saw from that shot is way different now, trees kind of cover the entire scene he had in the 1941 shot. So now I have seen several different views of the snake river. This canyon in Twin Falls was/is amazing.
