On our drive to the keys we entered a terrible rain storm. You can see the wall of rain in the distance and the closer we got the rainbow was visible, then we had to pull over and wait to let this storm pass a bit. Driving on unfamiliar roads with bad weather and idiots passing you at 90 miles an hour it is a bit unnerving. We drove up on a recreation/rest area entrance so that is where we pulled over. We new we were not going all the way to the keys this night but wanted to get as close as we could. We stopped in a travel plaza about 730 pm and took our sleep time. This left us about 118 miles from the keys, even being that close it took us about 3 1/2 hours. Two lane road mostly, 45 mph, can’t make any time. It was all good, we saw so much that we have never seen before and it was a lovely drive. We checked Into Boyds around noon I think. This is a tight campground, very nice on the water, just very close sites. Since we had no room to maneuver into our space, they had James drop the camper in the road and they had this machine (just like a pallet jack, electric) had an opening that the ball of the camper fit into and they parked our camper that way. It was actually pretty cool. We have lots of little neighbors. (roosters, chickens) everywhere!!! S & J
