This is the clearest picture James got with his old phone!! He hooked a sturgeon (not in season now to keep) and then the sturgeon pulled him 100 yards out into the Columbia where he didn’t really want to go! Oh well!! He said the fish was huge (5 ft.) at least , heavy as hell. He didn’t have to cut the line but the fish did get away and thank goodness he left James behind!!
James had a great time and went back this morning. Today may be his day. The game warden checked his kayak out for the catch of the day, didn’t find anything. I have zero idea what sturgeon tastes like and don’t know what to think of it, to me a strange looking fish but the view is not that great. I just wish you could of seen James’s big ole blues when he was telling me the story. Will update you on Monday if he hooks the big one today!!
Be groovy!!

You get caviar from Sturgeon. Ugly big fish. Not sure how the fish tastes, caviar is pretty salty!
Well James can feel confident in saying “the big one got away”. Hahaha. It was a big one. Yikes.
Mercy!!That is a big one. Especially glad James got back to tell the tale of the big one that got away. Hope he had good luck Sunday, and you could say: “Fish, it’s what’s for dinner”.
That is an amazing fish! I’m glad James survived to tell the story.
I Love it! Wish I was fishing with you. Miss you guys!!!
