This plant is prominent on the eastern half of the park which is below 3000 feet above sea level, lies within the Colorado Desert. It is also populated with the spidery ocotillo. This is a really cool cactus and they present a beautiful red flower at the top of the plant. These are also very prominent in Arizona and we have seen tons of them whenever we have traveled to different areas around Arizona. They had this tiny yellow bloom on the ends. Jumping cholla cactus!! S & J
