You can see the tour boat in the water. We did not do this tour but it was fun to watch it go in and out of the lock. It is only about a 30 minute tour. You can stand on the platform here and pretty much see all you need to see. We had our bikes with us so we biked around the area and saw what we wanted to. A local told me that every year on June 30 they open this entire area on all sides of the locks so you can freely walk around and check things out. Good day. S/J
