This was way cool!!So you are cruising through the desert and you come upon a very large area of hills, roads, weaving in and out and you realize all these rocks are strategically placed and they make words. People spell out their names with rocks in the desert and they call it Valley of Names. Now you can find plenty of rocks in the desert to spell your name but from what I understand some people bring in their own rocks, some are painted and some are clearly not from the desert. The ones that are red mean that person has passed away from cancer. I saw one name and they had put the date beside the name and it had 2010. I guess since it never rains here they won’t get washed around, who knows. Just a really cool thing to come up on in the middle of the desert and walk around and see all the names, We saw hundreds, probably thousands.
