We left Santa Fe on Saturday and had an interesting ride to our next stop which was going to be Big Bend National Park. This is the sign we passed as we crossed into Texas, just as nice as Santa Fe. We drove on I-10 forever it seemed but by the end of our driving we stopped at a travel plaza (nice truck stop) after 444 miles. Long day on the road. Our stop was in Van Horn so that put us a few hours from Big Bend. So as we traveled on the roads we came across a few cool things. First was a pecan tree grove. It was huge and we saw miles and miles of these trees coming out of NM, then we came upon a big blimp. Story to follow…Can’t put any Big Bend pictures on yet because they are not loading to my computer just yet!!! More to come.
